MCP Actions!

MCP Actions is the originator of the Project 52 I am involved in, and the lovely lady who runs MCP Actions (Jodi) has made it a really great experience. On top of that, she creates some amazing actions for Photoshop (I've not had a chance to buy any, but her free mini actions are awesome), as well as various tutorials and webinars. For any fellow photographers out there, I'd recommend getting acquainted with her, and if you visit her blog, you can also enter a contest she currently has running.

Slacker!!

Life is busy right now and I admit this blog is one of the very last things on my list.

Plus, I'm not entirely sure I have any regular readers. ;)

So I'm playing catch-up with a handful of photos from the past few weeks.

The first couple are with my old camera; the rest are courtesy of the new K5. I must say, it's a fantastic camera. Loving it.

Here we go. Week 21, Need for Speed. Thought this rabbit should take off pretty quick lest he get run over.

From the same day, we braved the mosquitoes for a quick photoshoot with my husband's cousin and his wife, who are expecting their first baby in July:

Quick snapshot of my cutie:

My beautiful niece turned 16. Sounds like a good occasion to bring my camera along to!

Week 23 - Enchantment. Meh, I was grasping for ideas so I went with a hummingbird shot through my screen.

Week 22 (yes, I know these aren't in order; no time to change!), Reflection.

There. I'm all caught up as far as Project 52 is concerned. I hope to have some more stuff up in the next couple of weeks.

Kirkpatrick Family

I had the pleasure of photographing an old school friend of mine, Holly, and her husband and 1-year-old son. We braved mosquitoes, mud, and cliffs to get these shots, and boy, was it worth it. Definitely one of my favourite and best sessions to date. All three of them are naturals, and Holly's son was happy and sweet the entire time. Thanks again to the Kirkpatricks; I hope to have the honour of photographing you again sometime!
